RAMADAN a month of fasting (Sawm) to commemorate the first revelation of the Quran to Muhammad according to Islamic belief. Eid-al-Fitr “Feast of breaking of fast” – the end of the month of Ramadan. During this holy month of Ramadan, pious Muslims abstain from food, sex, drink, etc from dawn until sunset. They breaks their fast after the sunset prayer called Maghrib prayer with their Iftar- the main meal which they have with their families and friend.
