We all love to work with clients who share their requirements, broad ideas and leave the rest to us with utmost trust. Such was this small family who approached us for their small 800 sq.ft carpet area 2BHK residential apartment located in a very good community housing society by Goyal and Co. named Orchid blues in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Thus, a conscious effort has been made for space planning each and every space of the house to make it look spacious with the use of natural materials coupled with earthy and minimal selections throughout the house. The interiors are on a take on modernism, minimalism with clean and crisp lines with a soothing colour palette and visioning the client’s needs and requirements. Orchid Greens, a minimal 2bhk residential apartment is designed by Ar. Vihangi Gandhi, the founder and Director of Studio 507.

Entrance Foyer:
The first thing that you are greeted with when you enter the house is the detailed real wood front safety door with real wood long handle and 2 small circular cut out slit in the door and the neatly designed wall with grooves in cement sheet with golden MS inlays into it giving it classy entrance to the apartment.

Living Room:
Having a minimal color palette gives it a warm and cozy ambiance with the use of natural materials. The sofa back European theme wall is the main focus wall of the living room which contrasts meticulously with the real wood false ceiling planks.

Additionally, the blue sofa and the green planters add color to the monochromatic color palette of the living room. The tv unit back paneling is made of new wood molding pattis in cnc cutting as per design and the unit is made of veneer. The custom made real wood center table and corner table also add to the overall aesthetics of the room.

Kitchen: The kitchen area with L shaped platforms merging with the breakfast counter at the end is finished with acrylic laminate in light shades of blue at bottom and light gray on above shutters which gives it a spacious yet classy appeal with some highlighting niches and shutters with fluted glass in natural browns.

The breakfast counter stands bold in brown with the front of the counter in grooves in new wood finished with Pu palette white color.

Daughter’s Bedroom:
This whole bedroom has been designed in new wood with PU polish as the finish. The bed back has a delicate arch shaped grooves design in MDF in cement blue shade with the light ash gray pelmet continuing to merge with the bed back acts as a backdrop for the bed.

The oblong ellipse shape designed wardrobe and similar designed above study unit allow it to blend seamlessly with the theme of the room. The chic oblong mirror adds to the subtle ensemble of the room. The minimal color themed bedroom adds to the vitality with the whole house.

Master bedroom:
This bedroom has a delicate fluted panel in pine shadow green shade as a backdrop for the bed back merging subtly with the grooves in laminate on the headboard. The pine shadow green wardrobe shutter and the wardrobe in raw wooden textures allow it to blend seamlessly with the theme.

The contrasting black piped oblong mirror on the right of the headboard stands bold with the overall theme of the bedroom.
